Educational work at the department is carried out in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, Laws of Ukraine "On Education", "On Higher Education", the provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the State National Program "Education" / Ukraine XXI /, National Strategy for Education in Ukraine for 2012 -2021, the Program of legal education of the population of Ukraine, the State program of development of physical culture and sports in Ukraine, the Concept of education of children and youth in the national education system, the Concept of national-patriotic education of children and youth (approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of 16.06.2015 № 641), the Concept of implementation of the state policy in the field of counteraction to drug addiction, fight against illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, the Charter of DZ "Lugansk State Medical University".

  The educational work of the department is aimed at the formation of an intelligent, noble, erudite, professionally trained, nationally conscious, socially active, with a broad worldview and diverse thinking doctor. Particular attention in the education and training of future physicians is paid to the ability to be guided in behavior by moral norms and values; principles of ethics and deontology; show courtesy, respect and sensitivity to others; evaluate and regulate their relationships with others; make sensible and conscious choices in difficult life situations, focusing on high spiritual values.

  The staff of the department promotes self-development of students, supporting the principles of self-management and self-discipline, conscious responsibility on the basis of cooperation between teacher and student.

  Each teacher of the department carries out educational work with students within the educational process. In order to conduct professional training, the pedagogical staff of the department conducts such interviews with students as: - responsibilities of a doctor at the present stage of development of society; - deontological aspects of the doctor's work; - psychosocial relations in the medical team; - issues of relations with medical and non-medical staff; - legal aspects of educational and medical activities.

  Employees of the department also periodically (at least once a month) supervise the assigned rooms (№№ 511, 512, 514, 516) in the dormitory of the medical university. Interviews are held with students on: rules of living and safety in dormitories, protection and safety of life and healthy lifestyle, effective daily routine and time management, culture of behavior, rational organization of student life.
