In 2000, he completed an internship at the NSC “IPCSF” at the Ukrainian Academy of Pharmacy and received the qualification of “General Pharmacist”. Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences since 2004. He defended his thesis on the topic: “Chemical and toxicological study of loperamide” (specialty: 15.00.02 - pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy) on May 28, 2004 at the Specialized Academic Council of the National University of Pharmacy. His thesis was performed at the Department of Analytical Chemistry of the National University of Pharmacy (postgraduate student with a break from production) under the supervision of Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor V. Bolotov. Since 2008 he has been working as an associate professor of the department. In 2011, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. He has 16 years of teaching experience, including 14 years at Lugansk State Medical University. He worked in practical pharmacy from 1999 to 2007 as a pharmacist-analyst (highest category) at the Municipal Enterprise “Luhansk Regional Pharmacy”. He has 72 printed works, including 39 scientific, 28 educational and methodological works and 5 patents. |

YEVHEN LEVITIN Position - Professor of a higher education institution Scientific degree - Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Academic rank - Professor In 1969 he entered the Kharkiv Institute of Pharmacy and graduated with honors in 1974. From 1975 to 1978 he was a post-graduate student at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the Kharkiv Institute of Pharmacy. In 1980, he defended his PhD thesis in the specialty 15.00.02 - Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy on the topic “Synthesis, structure and biological activity of 7-nitro- and 7-aminoacridines”. After the defense of his thesis, the range of scientific research of Yevhen Levitin expanded. The objects of his research were not only acridine derivatives, but also intermediates for its synthesis - benzoic and N-phenylanthranilic acids. The result of these studies was a preparative method for the synthesis of N-phenylanthranilic acids and the drug analben, which has high analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity and has passed the second phase of clinical trials. In 1982, Levitin was promoted to associate professor, and since 1994 he has held the position of head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the National University of Pharmacy. Yevhen Levitin is the founder of the scientific direction in Ukraine - the use of magnetic liquids in medicine. The result of his research was the development of a new magnetically controlled radiopaque contrast agent, which is 1.55 times more contrasting than traditional agents and, due to its magnetism, makes it possible to contrast any part of the stomach and other human cavities. He has developed and patented an ointment with magnetite and a method of treating purulent inflammatory diseases that allows cleaning wounds without the use of additional agents, which enhances the therapeutic effect by 20% and shortens the recovery time. Under the leadership of Yevhen Levitin, a magnetically controlled soft dosage form was also developed for use in otorhinology in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the pharynx and tonsils. Effective conservative treatment using this dosage form eliminates (reduces) the need for oral administration of medications, which increases the pharmacotherapeutic effect and is safer and more rational. Yevhen Levitin pays great attention to the implementation of the results of scientific developments in medicine. Technical specifications for magnetite for medical use were created, which allows for the first time in the CIS to develop and introduce magnetic medicines containing magnetite. The API for highly dispersed barium hexaferrite was developed, which makes it possible to introduce new magnetically controlled X-ray contrast agents in the future. Since 2017, Yevhen Levitin has been the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Internet Conference with international participation “Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials in Pharmacy and Medicine”, which is held at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the National University of Pharmacy. In June 2004, Levitin defended his doctoral dissertation on “Synthesis and biological activity of halogen benzoic acid derivatives and acridines based on them” in the specialty 15.00.02. In 2005, he was awarded the title of professor. Since 2023, Y.Y. Levitin has been working as a professor at the Department of Pharmacy of the State Institution “Luhansk State Medical University”. He is the author of more than two hundred publications, including 20 copyright certificates and patents for inventions. Poray-Koshytsia Polytechnic College (Rubizhne, Luhansk region) and received a junior specialist qualification in Accounting. From 2010 to 2015, she studied at the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University (Rubizhne), where she graduated with honors and received a degree in process engineering in the specialty 7.12020103 “Pharmaceuticals Technology”.
