Both upbringing and education are inseparable.
You can not educate without imparting knowledge,
all knowledge is educational.

Education is first of all "absorption" by each person of culture of the native people that helps transfer, development and creative use by present generations of experience of previous generations, provides continuation in centuries of cultural and historical traditions of parents, creates from the pupil the person of this epoch. sphere of universal values. As the great thinker of the XIX century J. Guillaume wrote, education is an art that extracts from the depths of the human soul and awakens to life everything that is dormant in it; which simultaneously develops all its forces and helps it to reach the goal, in a word, enlightens a person. V. Sukhomlinsky emphasized that "education in the broad sense of the word is a multifaceted process of spiritual enrichment and renewal of both those who are brought up and those who are brought up." He understood education as an independent desired social action.

The core of the entire education system in Ukraine is the national idea, which plays the role of a unifying, consolidating factor in social development, aimed at developing a person's life position, becoming a person as a citizen of his country.

Modern education in Ukraine should ensure the involvement of young people in world culture and universal values. In terms of forms and methods, it is based on folk traditions, the best achievements of national and world pedagogy.

The Laws of Ukraine "On Education", "On Bodies and Services for Minors and Special Institutions for Minors", "On State Assistance to Families with Children", "On Employment" play an important role in regulating children's, youth, and family problems. , Fundamentals of Ukrainian legislation on health care, culture, etc. National target programs "Education (Ukraine of the XXI century)", "Children of Ukraine", "Youth and leisure", "Patriotic education of youth", "Youth for the future of Ukraine" and others were also developed.

Particular attention is paid to the organization of educational work in educational institutions in the Concept of the national education system. The national system of education is a condition for the holistic formation of personality; it is a system of views, beliefs, ideas, ideals, traditions and professional activities created by the people for centuries, which aims to form the worldview and values of young people, transfer social experience, the achievements of previous generations. Scientifically sound, properly organized education reflects the spiritual progress of the people, the process of preserving and enriching its culture.

The humanistic nature of education involves the construction of all its content and forms on the basis of a deep understanding of the nature of the pupil, his individual traits and capabilities, respect for the child's personality, care for its harmonious development.

The ideal of upbringing is a harmoniously developed, highly educated, socially active and nationally conscious person, endowed with deep civic responsibility, healthy intellectual and creative, physical and spiritual qualities, family and patriotic feelings, diligence, economic intelligence, entrepreneurship and initiative.

The process of education in higher education is organically combined with the process of educating young people, mastering the basics of science, the richness of national and world culture.

The formation of creative personality through the strengthening of organizational, educational, cultural and educational work among students in the national model of higher education is inextricably linked with the revival of the nation, democratization and humanization of society, deepening self-government, which involves promoting young people in leadership production.

This process can not be spontaneous, it involves cooperation, collaboration, co-creation of teacher and student. Every teacher, no matter what subject he teaches, is always first and foremost an educator. K.D. Ushinsky argues that "the spirit of the school does not live in the walls and not on paper, but in the character of most teachers and from there passes into the characters of students."

Restructuring the educational process in higher education is an important and complex task, the solution of which requires, on the one hand, finding and implementing new forms and methods of organizing the educational process, and on the other - intensifying traditional activities, preserving past achievements. Such a combination is required by the general pedagogical principle of continuity and continuity, the essence of which in relation to education is to achieve integrity and continuity, the transformation of education into a lifelong process.

Higher education should have not only an educational orientation, but also a compulsory educational orientation. The educational process is designed to form in students a high culture, humanistic and democratic worldview, high moral qualities, to educate them as citizens - patriots, intellectuals, creative and purposeful professionals.

In a higher education institution, education should be carried out under new conditions, taking into account the physical and mental maturity of the individual, as well as his intellectual and spiritual development.

Civic education is focused on introducing young people to the value system of a democratic (civil) society, prepares students to participate in solving current and future tasks of the state to manage it, to perform the functions of worker and master, leader and executor, public figure, defender of the Motherland.

A special place in the organization of the educational process of higher education is given to solving problems of professional education, the purpose of which is to form students' respect for the chosen specialty, to develop the necessary traits, skills and abilities, development of creative potential of future specialists.

The dominant of the whole system of education in higher education should be its national character as a form of self-determination of the Ukrainian people and the personality of the Ukrainian.

The main purpose of national education - the young generation to gain social experience, inherit the spiritual heritage of the Ukrainian people, achieve a high culture of interethnic relations, the formation of young people, regardless of nationality, personal traits of a citizen of the Ukrainian state, developed spirituality, moral, artistic, legal, labor, environmental culture.

The purpose of national education is specified through a system of educational tasks:
