At the Department of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, work is carried out with applicants for higher education 3-5 courses of medical and pharmaceutical faculties within the Student Scientific Society. Thus, the circle of the department "Rubicon" is an integral part of the activities of the State Institution "Lugansk State Medical University" and the department, which contributes to the improvement of professional training and identification of gifted youth.
The goals of the scientific circle of the department are:
- deepening of theoretical knowledge;
- formation of scientific thinking;
- acquiring skills in mastering the methodology and methods of scientific research;
- development of creative abilities and organizational qualities of future scientists;
- striving for professional self-improvement and development.
During the school year, members of the scientific group "Rubicon" have the opportunity to learn to work with modern scientific literature, perform term papers and master's theses that contain elements of research, work on research work with a supervisor, gain experience in public speaking. In addition, every month there are meetings of the circle, which discuss current and current issues of medicine and pharmacy.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, 15 gifted students of medical and pharmaceutical faculties became members of the Rubicon circle. Applicants for higher education took an active part in the work of the circle, engaged in research and shared scientific achievements in the departmental conference "Current issues of pharmacology, clinical pharmacology and clinical pharmacy", as well as in various scientific and practical conferences in Ukraine.
