Target group:

- Representatives of communities in Ukraine and Georgia living in the high-risk military zone.

- Employees and students of higher education (trainers) of partner universities.

Project goal and objectives:

 

  • To strengthen the capacity of 27 academic staff in 7 higher education institutions (HEIs) in Ukraine and Georgia to develop new training materials (first aid manuals for staff, students and community representatives) through the exchange of experience, recommendations and technical assistance from partner institutions operating in Spain and Portugal.
  • To assist 242 staff members and students of 7 higher education institutions in Ukraine and Georgia by building capacity in teaching and providing first aid, including basic life support and premedical care.
  • To strengthen the life-saving first aid skills of 7,200 community members living in military risk areas in Ukraine and Georgia as the final beneficiaries of the Capacity Building for Higher Education (CBHE) program.
  • Provide the necessary first aid training equipment (including simulators) to 3 partner medical universities in Ukraine.
