On Holding a Student Scientific and Practical Conference at the Department of Pharmacy
On April 20, 2023, the Department of Pharmacy at the State Institution "LDMU" held a student scientific and practical conference titled "Current Issues in Pharmacy – 2023."
The conference was attended by 10 students from the scientific club of the Department of Pharmacy, representing the 1st, 3rd, and 4th years of the full-time study program at the Medical-Pharmaceutical Faculty.

The presented reports were very interesting and were awarded certificates for participation in the student scientific conference at the Department of Pharmacy.
The best works were recommended for participation in the university-wide scientific and practical conference "PRO MED" of the Lviv National Medical University, student scientific society named after V.H. Koveshnikov, which took place on May 22, 2024, specifically:
- Nadija Andriivna Karman, 3rd year (topic: "Antidepressants").
- Anastasia Romanivna Shkad, 1st year (topic: "Biological Activity of Calcium and its Compounds and Their Application in Medicine, Pharmacy, and Cosmetology").
- Alla Kobernik, 1st year (topic: "Vitamins and Their Biological Significance for the Human Body").
- Sofia Ruda, 1st year (topic: "Amino Acids and Their Biological Significance").

It should be noted that our club members actively participate in scientific and practical conferences at other universities in Ukraine.
For example, Nadija Andriivna Karman (3rd-year student of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Faculty) took part in the 85th All-Ukrainian Scientific Medical Congress of Students and Young Scientists "Medicine of the 21st Century" (with international participation), presenting a report on the topic: "Antidepressants" (Student Scientific Society named after Professor M.D. Dovgyallo, Donetsk National Medical University (Lyman, Donetsk region), Ministry of Health of Ukraine), April 11-12, 2024.
Additionally, the participation of club members in international student scientific conferences was marked by reports presented at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Technology - 2024" (East Ukrainian National University named after Volodymyr Dahl, Kyiv), on May 24, 2024, on the following topics:

On the organization of the student scientific and practical conference at the Department of Pharmacy on April 20, 2023.
On April 20, 2023, the Department of Pharmacy of Luhansk State Medical University held the student scientific and practical conference "Current Issues of Pharmacy – 2023." The conference was attended by 10 higher education students from the scientific club of the Department of Pharmacy, representing the 1st, 3rd, and 4th years of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Faculty (daytime study).
The students prepared very interesting reports on the topics of their research work with their academic supervisors from the department and presented them on the following topics:
- Anna Serhiivna Reznik, 4th year, topic: "Microscopic Study of White Mistletoe" (scientific supervisor: Head of the Department, Associate Professor V.H. Tkachенко) – 1st place;
- Kateryna Maksymivna Tertyshna, 4th year, topic: "Analysis of Pectin Content in Fruit and Berry Mix" (scientific supervisor: Associate Professor V.V. Kotova) – 1st place;
- Anastasia Serhiivna Feneva, 4th year, topic: "Toxicological Characteristics of Thallium" (scientific supervisor: Head of the Department, Associate Professor V.H. Tkachенко) – 2nd place;
- Karina Yuriyivna Oleksiivets, 1st year, topic: "Zinc – An Essential Trace Element" (scientific supervisor: Associate Professor V.V. Kotova) – 2nd place;
- Alina Yevhenivna Romanova, 1st year, topic: "The Role of Iodine and Its Compounds in Human Life" (scientific supervisor: Associate Professor V.V. Kotova) – 2nd place;
- Anna Serhiivna Bondarchuk, 1st year, topic: "Biological Role of Calcium and Its Compounds in Biosystems" (scientific supervisor: Associate Professor V.V. Kotova) – 3rd place;
- Volodymyr Yaroslavovych Knyaz, 3rd year, topic: "The Benefits of Blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) in Pharmacy" (scientific supervisor: Professor V.O. Shapovalova) – 3rd place;
- Elina Yuriyivna Shchur, 1st year, topic: "Biologically Active Inorganic Compounds. Nitrogen" (scientific supervisor: Associate Professor V.V. Kotova) – 3rd place;
- Yuliya Volodymyrivna Shyrko, 1st year, topic: "The Role of Vanadium and Its Compounds in Human Life" (scientific supervisor: Associate Professor V.V. Kotova) – 3rd place;
- Bohdana Oleksandrivna Shevchuk, 1st year, topic: "The Role of Manganese in Human Life" (scientific supervisor: Associate Professor V.V. Kotova) – 3rd place.
All participants in the conference of the student scientific society of the Department of Pharmacy received certificates for their participation in the scientific life of the department and faculty, as well as for their commitment to deepening knowledge and professional self-improvement.

It is also important to mention that students Anna Serhiivna Reznik and Kateryna Maksymivna Tertyshna, who took first place at the departmental scientific-practical conference, participated in the university-wide conference of the Student Scientific Society of Luhansk State Medical University, named after V.H. Koveshnikov, which was held on May 19, 2023. As a result of their participation, the abstracts of their reports were published, and they received certificates for their participation in the conference: Anna Serhiivna Reznik – awarded an honorary 3rd place, and Kateryna Maksymivna Tertyshna – received an honorary certificate for presenting a relevant and interesting paper.
