The Interinstitutional Commission on Biomedical Ethics operates on the basis of the Luhansk State Medical University as a public association without the formation of a legal entity.
The purpose of the Biomedical Ethics Commission is to provide advisory assistance and control over the work of animals in the State Medical University in strict accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, the provisions of the European Convention for the Protection of Vertebrate Animals Used for Experimental and Other Scientific Purposes and other international law. governing the keeping and use of laboratory animals.

REGULATIONS ON THE COMMISSION ON BIOMEDICAL ETHICS
To achieve this goal, the Commission on Biomedical Ethics solves the following tasks :
- studies legal and ethical issues related to research projects and related technologies;
- develops rules for conducting and criteria for admissibility of animal studies on the basis of existing regulations, as well as international recommendations and studying the experience of other institutions, both in Ukraine and abroad;
- monitors compliance with international rules for animal experiments;
- carries out independent examination of research projects involving work with the use of experimental animals, and makes a conclusion on the admissibility of these projects;
- advises employees on bioethics;
- evaluates the ethical and moral and legal aspects of the program (protocol) of the clinical trial;
- considers materials before and during the clinical trial.
COMPOSITION OF THE COMMISSION ON BIOMEDICAL ETHICS :
1. Zeleny Igor Ivanovich - Chairman of the Commission, Doctor of Medicine ,. Prof., Head Department of Surgery.
2. Orlova Olena Anatoliivna - Deputy Chairman, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Head kaf. pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy.
3. Kucherenko Natalia Vasylivna - Secretary, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Drug Technology, Organization and Economics of Pharmacy.

4. Smirnov Sergey Nikolaevich - doctor of medical sciences, professor, professor of department of biology, histology, embryology, microbiology and hygiene.
5. Komarevtsev Vitaliy Mykolayovych - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head Department of Urology, Oncology, Radiology and Transfusiology
6. Karlova Tetyana Yevheniivna - Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Ukrainian Languages.
7. Zhurba Mykola Anatoliyovych - Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Head of the Department of Philosophical and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Institute of Chemical Technologies of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University.
Specialists of the commission carry out examination of initiative researches (before planning and before approbation of the dissertation), research works of departments of DZ "LDMU" (before planning) and examination of printing works.
