On July 7, 2021, a solemn awarding of diplomas to graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy took place near the main educational building of the State Institution "Luhansk State Medical University". This year's ceremony was special, as it is the first graduation of pharmacists (79 graduates) who received the title of masters. Also, for the first time this year, applicants for higher education passed the state certification in the form of an objective structured practical exam (OSPI) and 8 graduates defended their master's theses.
The ceremony was opened by Acting Rector of the State Institution "Luhansk State Medical University", Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Honored Health Worker of Ukraine, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Alexander Gudzenko.
The head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Olena Orlova addressed the graduates with a welcoming speech ; Head of the Department of Drug Technology, Organization and Economics of Pharmacy, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Kucherenko ; Head of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Andriy Bushuyev .
This year's graduates suffered from distance learning due to quarantine restrictions caused by the pandemic. However, as noted by teachers of the Faculty of Pharmacy, students have successfully coped with all the tests and are now beginning their career.
"Pharmacy - one of the key components of the health system, and your future work - the key to its development - said in his speech to the graduates of the acting rector DZ" LDMU " Professor Alexander Gudzenko - Despite the importance of technology and new standards in modern medicine, no innovation will be able to replace a qualified specialist.
Warm words were also heard from the graduates. Valery Ponomarev made a welcoming speech . She thanked the teachers for their work and the knowledge they passed on to the students.
