The academic staff of the Department of Language Training and Social Sciences and Humanities realize the significant practical importance of a close combination of teaching and research. This symbiosis of teaching and research is undoubtedly fruitful on the way to optimizing the learning process in higher education. Such an integrative approach opens up new opportunities for higher education students as active participants in the educational process. That is why the department pays considerable attention to the development of the scientific outlook of higher education students and constantly creates conditions for students to realize their research intentions.
Several student research groups work at the Department to develop critical thinking, information retrieval and processing skills, the ability to analyze and systematize scientific content, present their own thoughts and make scientifically significant conclusions:
Student scientific club "Doctor - a linguistically active profession" (supervisor - Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor T. Karlova).
Student scientific club "Cultural and educational space of the doctor's linguistic personality" (supervisor - Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor O.M. Kravchuk).
Student scientific club "English Space" (supervisor - prof. Buryak N.V.
The forms of work of scientific clubs are diverse. In addition to the main activity of conducting scientific research, preparing, hearing and discussing reports, the members of the clubs together with their teachers watch and analyze videos, analyze new linguistic and fiction books, solve language and literary tasks, perform plays, organize literary and linguistic festivals, departmental scientific conferences, etc.
Members of the scientific clubs traditionally participate in international and national competitions, contests, scientific conferences, etc.
The results of the clubs' work during the academic year are traditionally summarized at the departmental student scientific conference, the winners of which have the honor of presenting their scientific achievements at the annual university-wide student scientific conference.
