The main directions of
scientific activity of the department:

  • study of the etiology, pathogenesis of disorders of the obstructive capacity of the cervix in pregnant women with undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia;
  • study of the peculiarities of pregnancy in women who are in a state of persistent stress;
  • study of the pathogenesis of obstetric and perinatal complications in pregnant women with progressive varicose veins;
  • scientific substantiation, methodical and organizational support of the program of antenatal observation of pregnant women with functional disturbance of the obstructive function of the cervix;
  • improving the antenatal care program for pregnant women in a state of persistent stress to prevent obstetric and perinatal complications.

  The department carries out the initiative R&D "Clinical and pathogenetic justification for the prevention of obstetric and perinatal complications in women with miscarriage (2015 - 2020)". Employees actively cooperate with the departments of the State Institution "Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Academician OM Lukyanova National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine ", where joint research is conducted. The results of research are summarized in dissertations, publications, actively implemented in the practice of treatment and prevention facilities. For 4 years of work 1 dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences and 1 master's thesis were defended, 2 patents for inventions and 2 for utility models were obtained, 52 articles in scientific journals were published for 3 years, 1 information letter was issued.

  The plenum of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine took place in Kyiv on October 3 and 4.

  In Svyatogorsk, October 19, a scientific-practical conference was held on the topic: "Ways to improve and implement modern methods for diagnosing hereditary metabolic diseases in newborns", which was attended by Assoc. KORNIETS NG and employees of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  The conference was devoted to a very important topic - neonatal screening in Ukraine, the introduction of new, modern, analytical technologies in the diagnosis of hereditary metabolic diseases in newborns.

  As a result of the conference, a round table was held with the participation of specialists to improve the diagnosis of hereditary metabolic diseases in newborns and older children.

  Participation of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the scientific-practical conference with international participation "Topical issues of reproductive health of youth"

  On October 25, 2019, a scientific-practical conference with international participation "Topical issues of reproductive health of youth" was held in Kyiv. The conference was attended by scientists from different cities of Ukraine and Belarus, who presented more than 20 reports. All conference participants had the opportunity to share knowledge and experience during lively discussions. State Institution "Lugansk State Medical University" presented an assistant of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Shapovalov VA with a report: "Postpartum depression: a real problem?" (Assoc.
