Educational work of the Department of Internal Medicine №2 is carried out in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, Laws of Ukraine "On Education", "On Higher Education", provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, State National Program "Education" / Ukraine XXI century /, Program of legal education , The State Program for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports in Ukraine, the Concept of Education of Children and Youth in the National Education System, the Concept of National-Patriotic Education of Youth, the Concept of State Policy in Combating Drug Addiction, Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors, Luhansk State Medical University.

  The activities of all subjects of the educational process: students, student government, deputy directors, heads of departments, curators of academic groups - was aimed at finding new pedagogical technologies, recognizing the priority of students' self-education, individual activities focused on developing their own potential. Educational work is carried out in accordance with the plans of educational work of the department.

  All teachers of the Department of Internal Medicine №2 took part in university conferences on improving teaching and educational work among students.

  The teaching staff of the Department of Internal Medicine №2 during the school year provided a systematic approach to planning and improving educational work among students, which was as follows:

  • the practice of missed classes and activities aimed at the observance of academic discipline was organized;
  • control over attendance and observance of academic discipline by students and teachers of the department;
  • organized consultations on disciplines of the department; and conducting intra-university competitions in the disciplines of the department.

  In order to conduct career guidance among students, the teaching staff of the Department of Internal Medicine №2 conducts the following interviews with students of 4th, 5th and 6th years:

  • responsibilities of a doctor at the present stage of development of society;
  • deontological aspects of the work of a physician;
  • deontological aspects of the work of an infectious disease doctor;
  • deontological aspects of the work of a dermatovenereologist;
  • psychosocial relations in the medical team.

  For the application of national-patriotic education, the staff of the department ensured the implementation of methodological recommendations for the use of state symbols; took part in the Embroidery Festival; conducted conversations with students about the importance of the state in human life, the attitude to external aggression; and also held talks on the following significant events in Ukraine:

  • Anniversary of the Chernobyl accident;
  • Constitution Day of Ukraine;
  • The role of physicians in victory during World War II.

  For professional education and the formation of the foundations of a healthy lifestyle, teachers of the Department of Internal Medicine №2 during the year conducted conversations with students on the following topics: “Domestic therapists. Contribution to world science ”, Domestic occupational pathologists. Contribution to world science ”,“ Domestic dermatovenereologists. Contribution to world science ”,“ Domestic infectious diseases specialists. Contribution to world science ”,“ Domestic epidemiologists. Contribution to world science ”. Discussions were held on ethics and deontology in the emergency clinic, as well as the legal aspects of the doctor.

  Teachers of the department take part in activities related to the formation of a healthy lifestyle, and especially in flash mobs on social networks, which are dedicated to the World AIDS Day, World TB Day and Global Handwashing Day. Students took part in intra-university and city events.

  The teaching staff of the Department of Internal Medicine №2 conducts individual work with students seeking to acquire the specialty "Therapy".

  For the purpose of artistic and aesthetic education, the staff of the department involved students in the preparation and conduct of extracurricular creative activities to familiarize and discuss the works of prominent medical scientists.
