The Republic Day in India is a great holiday for Indian people. The Constitution of India came into effect 63 years ago.
Indian students prepared thoroughly for the holiday. There was one more outstanding event: guests of honour – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Ukraine H.E. Mr. Rajiv K. Chander and Consul Amit Sharma – visited Lugansk and our university. Our rector, prof. Ivchenko V.K. warmly welcomed the guests, acquainted with the university, the library, the gym and “Peoples’ Friendship” Museum, where Mr. Ambassador signed in the Book of Honoured Guests.
In the hall near the meeting Indian students entertained everybody with national dishes.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Ukraine H.E. Mr. Rajiv K. Chander greeted the Indian students at the beginning of the meeting and wished successes in education for the benefit of their Motherland. In his return speech rector, prof. Ivchenko V.K. congratulated the honoured guests and the students with the national holiday and noted a great progress of India in economy. After that everybody was immersed in a wonderful world of Indian dance, music and songs. The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
