Foreign students of our university willingly take part in charity actions organized by our university in our city. Lately along with home students from volunteer group “Virtue” (the supervisor T.V. Laptynova) they took part in some meetings with the pupils from several Lugansk boarding schools for children with limited abilities and orphans.
Students from Nigeria, India, Kenya and Iraq gave a concert “Smile, friends!” to the pupils of Lugansk Boarding School for Children with Limited Abilities. The children enjoyed the programme very much. Later volunteers and foreign students let sweets to the pupils, talked and made photos with them. The children were very grateful and invited their new friends to come soon again.

In April there was a meeting “Let’s get acquainted, friends!” with the pupils of Regional Boarding School in the town of Schyastya (in English it is translated as Happiness). Most of its pupils are orphans. The guests delivered a concert, too. The supervisor of university charity work T.V. Laptynova wished this meeting to be the first step of our friendship.
The headmaster of the Boarding School E.I. Nykolaenko thanked dearly to the participants of the meeting and presented them some awards. She also gratefully mentioned the Dean of Foreign Students Faculty, associate professor V.I. Toropchyn, who helped organize the meeting.
Again in April foreign students took part in the forum of European Medical Students’ Association in Lugansk. The problems of children’s heart diseases were discussed there. The students of our university and ones from high schools of Kharkov and Donetsk delivered reports about children’s heart diseases and ways of their treatment. The forum was held in Foreign Languages Lyceum. After the meeting the pupils of the lyceum and foreign students performed a concert to the participants of the meeting. The active participants were awarded with presents.
We’d like especially mention active charity actions participation of Nigerian students.
